About Jaweria
Expert Ivy League STEM Tutor | Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Algebra & Trigonometry
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Yale University with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. My expertise primarily lies in molecular biology and biochemistry, strengthened through rigorous coursework and research. I am a co-first author of a paper published in Cell Chemical Biology and was awarded the prestigious Edgar J. Boell Prize for excellence in senior research at Yale.
I have extensive experience teaching all sciences—including physics, chemistry, biology, and biochemistry—as well as algebra and trigonometry. At Success Academy Charter School, I taught AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics, and AP Pre-Calculus, helping students master complex concepts with clarity. I also tutor college-level STEM students and provide specialized SAT Math and MCAT preparation.
Beyond subject tutoring, I mentor high school and community college students on navigating college applications, securing scholarships, and crafting compelling personal statements. I have been accepted to multiple prestigious universities, including Yale, Columbia, and NYU, and I am a recipient of the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship and the Freya Moskowitz Stern Scholarship. My role as an Eli Whitney peer mentor at Yale has equipped me with the skills to support students in achieving academic excellence and securing top-tier university admissions.
My teaching philosophy is centered on fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning. I am committed to helping students build confidence, master challenging subjects, and achieve their academic goals.
