About Megan
I have always enjoyed helping other people understand concepts that don't come easily to them. I started tutoring classmates in my 6th grade math class, and my interest was renewed when my older sister started teaching second grade language arts.
I am currently attending college at Utah State University and I'm majoring in Mathematics/Statistics Composite Education, so I am very well versed in mathematics, but I can also tutor through High School English and most history subjects, and got a 36 for reading and writing on the ACT. I was a part of the tutoring club at my high school and often tutor friends and family.

When working with a new student, I typically spend the first session getting to know them and their needs. I figure out what type of learner they are (visual, kinesthetic, etc.) and some of their basic likes and dislikes. From there, I usually try to establish the goals we want to achieve. This can be a certain grade in the class or a certain level of comprehension. This can sometimes take the entire first meeting depending on the length, but once we make our goals, we move on to identifying problem areas and from there I design a personalized curriculum for tutoring.
