About Joshua
I am going to Utah valley university for engineering, so I have made quite a passion for math. So far, I have completed calculus II and some calc based physics classes. I am new to tutoring this means I am cheap as I learn the ropes however, it also means i'm motivated and I will do everything I can to get you to where you want to be in your course. I am also younger, so I can relate to teenagers more.
I have been "teaching" as long as I have been in school. I always was the student in class going around to other kids who didn't understand because I knew they could understand it if they kept at it. However, I am brand new to being a hired tutor, but I need to start somewhere.
I am going to school to be an engineer which is a very math heavy major which means I have currently taken and passed calc II. I also went to a technical college for IT which means I love problem solving making it easy to teach people the best way to solve problems themselves.

First of all get a good introduction. Being comfortable with a tutor will make it easier for them to ask questions. Second find out what they are struggling with. This can be done by asking them what they get stuck on during a test. For example are they stuck on knowing when to use material or are the stuck on the material itself. Third I will prepare myself for the next session. I will do research on the material so when I meet with them again I am not wasting time and i'm not confusing them with misinformation.
