About Olivia
Hello, thank you for stopping by and considering me for tutoring services. I am a state certified Secondary Mathematics Teacher and currently teach 7th grade math, Pre Algebra (8th grade), and Algebra 2. I have years of experience with students of all ages in the classroom and one-on-one tutoring. I excel in helping students build understanding and bridge gaps that may be weighing students down.

It has always been a passion of mine since I was little and all through school I have pursued this path.
I am in college for Math Education and so the majority of my classes are high level math courses.

The most important peice before tutoring a new student is getting to know them and figuring out what type of learning style fits them best. Learning something that you have a weakness in can be an overwhelming things so I think it is crucial to lay a strong foundation before jumping in to loads of content.
All types! Whatever the grade or learning style I promise I can help. I have worked with younger people and even adults to re-kindle old knowledge.
Ask what they think is most important that you get out of tutoring. Is it simply about a letter grade? It should be more important to help a student improve then expect an "A+" for every assignment.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Make sure to first evaluate yourself. Could you be doing better on your own? What specifically are the areas you need help in? It is important for a student to know what they need specifically before approaching a teacher. This way they can have the most profitable conversation and make the best plan moving forward.
