About Samantha
My name is Samantha Redding and I am a 5th grade math and science teacher. I currently hold degrees in elementary education, special education and ESL from North Park University in Chicago. This is my 6th year teaching and have been working with students for about 10 years! I have taught special education, ESL in Stockholm, Sweden, and multiple general education grades and classes (kindergarten-5th grade).
I understand that learning can sometimes be stressful and challenging for students and families. My goal is to make learning fun and engaging and to help students build up confidence in themselves. My lessons tend to follow a I do, we do, you do model and I like to use a wide variety of learning strategies to meet the individuals need. I love getting to know students and their families and like to keep close and open communication on the needs and progress of each student.
