About Eric
My name is Eric Hoffman, owner and chief engineer at Reformata Audio and Video. Originally from South Florida, and from 2006-2019 having been located in Greenville South Carolina, I'm once again calling South Florida home.
I’ve been recording, mixing, and doing audio editing since 1993 and generally specialize in mixing and recording up-n-coming to professional bands and musicians. I also specialize in performing audio restoration and archiving, audio forensic enhancement, and mastering for vinyl. A few personal highlights during my career include work with Bloodline (featuring a young Joe Bonamassa), Aerosmith (pre-production demo's for the songs"Amazing" and "Pink"), Brian Howe (Bad Company), Naked Rhythm (Massacre Records), Hear Here (Avexx Japan), and Get Some Crew (Da Phat House Records).
I'd love to be able to pass on what I've learned over the years by helping both musicians and aspiring engineers with not just learning to mix, but with other important skills such as microphone placement and production choices, the two most common issues I come across when given material to mix myself.
Through recruitment and finally decided to get on board.
Education: Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale and Recording Workshop (Chillicothe, OH)
Training: After school both freelance work and an internship at GLED Recording in Davie, FL.
