About Megan
I don't believe in a one size fits all learning experience. I try to get to know my students so that I can adjust my lessons accordingly. I believe everyone has the potential to learn music if they are guided correctly. I like to have fun, but I do take my music, my time, and my students' time very seriously.
I enjoy seeing students progress and gain confidence as they learn. I also enjoy the fact that I learn from my students as much as they learn from me.
I had music teachers that asked me to work with other students.
I was in band from 6th grade-my senior year of college, I taught band for two years, and I have done lessons for many years.

Getting to know the strenghts and weaknesses so that I can accomodate that specific student.
I have worked with students ages 11-20. I have also worked with ensembles, region auditions, marching band music/fundamentals, and just students wanting to be better all together.
Ask as many questions as you need to so that you can feel comfortable.
I taught at a school where they had not receive an outstanding rating for over ten years, and after getting the students to see their potential, we were able to accomplish a superior rating at the U.I.L Contest.
