About Aliya
I teach reading music, sight-singing, dictation, harmony, and piano-playing, particularly specializing in early college prep. I am great with kids and know beautiful pieces of music that make our learning fun. I have a music high school diploma from the top music school in my country (Azerbaijan) and am a straight A student at Mannes School of Music where I am working on my bachelor degree.
I compose music for many instruments, play piano, have performed numerously at concert halls in my country. I have also collaborated with Opera Omaha Poetry & Music Workshop and was chosen to take part in Luna Composition Lab. A deep knowledge of music theory really helped me achieve these goals and I particularly love to teach it.
