About Les
My mission is to help motivated trumpet players of all ages realize their goals by passing on the knowledge and understanding that I have accumulated in over 50 years of study and performance experience as professional trumpet player. Many former students are performing professional trumpet players and musicians.
I have studied privately with many of the legendary private trumpet teachers many of whom are no longer living at this point in time. Claude Gordon, Roy Stevens, Dr. Donald S. Reinhardt, Bobby Shew, Cat Anderson, and more.
My music education includes 3 years of private instruction in composition, arranging, ear training, and jazz improvistaion with Berklee School of Music professor Hal Crook and time at CSUN and Palomar College as well as piano study with Bud Conway and Joe Azarello. My performing career of over 5 decades covers every type of music performance situation there is.
