About Sofia
I am a native Polish speaker born and raised in Poland with 19 years of living experience in Cracow where I finished high school.
I graduated in English and French Linguistics as well as Business Administration from the University of Toronto. My career has been working in business finance for a few largest Canadian banks where I held various bilingual positions. I also know some German and Russian.
I have a passion for languages, learning and sharing the knowledge with others.
As a polyglot I have a first hand experience in learning a foreign language and I am well positioned to clearly explain language rules and structures. I can appreciate the challenges you may experience along the way and will help you overcome them. I will encourage and inspire you to stay committed to achieve your goals, similarly to how I achieved mine.
I will strive to create a positive, supportive and confidence building learning environment and an open two-way communication for you to succeed.

My typical class includes a recap of the last lesson, setting an objective, instruction, guided practice, ensuring your understanding, and an open discussion at the end. The lesson objective is to strengthen your skills in one of the following areas - listening, speaking, reading, writing vocabulary and grammar.
For those of you who prefer less structure we can definitely make the lesson more free flowing. We can also focus on covering a specific skill or topic of your choice. For example we may have a conversation or writing session about a Polish cultural tradition or preparing your resume.
We will do all that while making the class enjoyable and captivating for you.
