About Jojo
I’m currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Geosciences at UT Austin and hold a Master’s degree in Environmental Geochemistry. I have experience teaching and mentoring students across K–12, undergraduate, and graduate levels, giving me a strong ability to adapt lessons to different learning styles and academic needs. Because I am actively engaged in both teaching and advanced scientific research, foundational STEM concepts and higher-level coursework remain fresh in my mind.
I have two years of experience working with K–12 students and genuinely enjoy helping young learners build confidence in challenging subjects. My background in geoscience has strengthened both my analytical and scientific writing skills, and I am passionate about helping students improve not only their understanding of STEM topics, but also their communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. My goal as a tutor is to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing confidence, and achieving meaningful academic growth.
