About
Hi, I’m Alexis!
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with double minors in Spanish and Sociology, graduating on the Dean’s List. My academic background gives me a strong understanding of how students think, learn, and stay motivated. I use that insight to help students improve not only their grades but also their confidence and study habits.
Education has always been personal to me. I was fortunate to attend private schools prior to college, which gave me a strong academic foundation and an appreciation for structured, high-level learning. That experience shaped the standards I now bring to my tutoring sessions. I help students build strong fundamentals while developing discipline, critical thinking skills, and academic independence.
I am currently tutoring a 15-year-old student whose grades have improved two full letter grades, moving from a D to a B since we began working together. That progress came from consistent one-on-one instruction, strategic study techniques, and customized supplemental materials designed specifically for his learning style.
I have a genuine love for history and science, and I am equally strong in English and Spanish at the academic level. My background in psychology allows me to tailor each session to how a student processes information, ensuring they truly understand the material rather than simply memorizing it.
Beyond tutoring, I am a licensed esthetician with plans to become a Registered Nurse and eventually a CRNA while owning a medical spa. I believe deeply in growth, discipline, and building something meaningful, and I bring those same values into my work with students. Outside of academics and business, I enjoy cooking, learning how to sew, and spending time with my cat.
Tutoring sessions include dedicated one-on-one instruction, customized supplemental study materials, academic strategy development, and consistent encouragement and accountability.
If you are looking for focused academic support that leads to measurable improvement and increased confidence, I would love to work with you. Let’s build strong grades and an even stronger mindset together.
