My background is in theatre so I am experienced as a drama teacher as well as a tutor and so I am able to find new and unique ways to make the syllabus engaging. I am good at adapting and tailoring my approach to each individual child as I believe this is the best way to make the most out of private tuition.
I have four years experience and over 750 hours of tutoring boys and girls in the run up to the 11+ exams. I am familiar with 11+ syllabus as well as the specific requirements of most private schools across London. I can help with all aspects of the exam so I can help a child prepare thoroughly.
I will travel to anywhere in London. Lessons are chargeable at 50% of the cost of the lesson if the lesson is cancelled with less than 48 hours notice.

Tutoring Experience with Grosvenor Tutors
Over the last four years I have worked as a tutor for Grosvenor Tutors, predominantly working with primary school aged children, teaching a variety subjects across the curriculum.
11+ preparation
I have worked with girls and boys preparing for the 11+ in Maths, English, Verbal and Non-Verbal reasoning as well as interview preparation. I am experienced with a range of academic abilities, whether that is challenging very academically gifted children in ways that they can’t be challenged in the classroom or working with less academic children to improve their confidence and instill good habits and skills that will help support their school work. I have prepared children for schools throughout London such as St Pauls, Westminster, Latymer, Kings College, North London consortium schools, GDST schools.
7+ and 8+ preparation
I have worked with girls and boys to help them get ready for the 7+ and 8+ which pose unique challenges as the children are so young and this is often their first experience of formal testing. I believe that maintaining confidence and enjoyment is key at this age as the whole experience can be overwhelming. Schools I have prepared children for include; Latymer Prep, St Paul’s Junior, Kings College Wimbledon, Wetherby Prep, Westminster Under.
Non exam preparation
I am experienced in working with children that aren’t preparing for a specific exam but whose parents believe they could benefit from extra one-on-one support outside the classroom. I have worked with children for whom English is not their first language to help them improve their vocabulary and understanding of the English language. I have worked with children who struggle in a school environment, sometimes due to ADHD or other behavioral conditions and work with them to support what they have learned in school but in a way that is more accessible. As well as children who struggle in school I have also worked with children who are flourishing but could do with being challenged in a new way.
Drama tuition
I am an experienced theatre director and drama facilitator and have worked with children and young people in groups and individually. I prepare children for LAMDA exams and offer coaching for auditions for children and adults.
Educational Experience
The Merlin School, Teaching Assistant September 2014 – October 2015
I worked at the Merlin School, pre-prep school for girls and boys ages 4-8, for three months in 2014 and after that I would work part time, providing cover and assisting when they needed an extra pair of hands. I have worked across all age groups in the school and ran an extra-curricular drama club.
Freelance Drama workshops
I run bespoke theatre workshops for children of all ages in schools and drama clubs. In schools I predominantly run Shakespeare workshops that focus on getting every child to speak and hear Shakespeare’s words.
