About Macy
I love seeing a personality turn into a picture. I love teaching about symbolism so my students can access their subconscious and speak that language and grow through their art. I love making the world more beautiful inside and out.
I speak the language of the soul: symbolism. Creativity can change your life and symbolism is where it starts. Come to the edge with me and jump into the rainbow 🌈🌈
In nursing homes volunteering with the elderly. I am very very very patient.
I have a Bachelor of Fine Art from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in painting. Since this was a highly conceptual school I took a year off to go to the Savanna College of Art and Design in Atlanta to really learn the skill of painting. I received the Hudson Scholarship to Washington University and graduated with a major in English as well as a writing minor in addition to my degree in art.

About the lesson

First you decide what your heart wants to paint. Then you block in the scene with vibrant colors, pulling out highlights with white and creating shadows with black. Then you work with warms and cools to give the painting depth and tone. Finally you finish the edges of the objects your painting either fuzzy or blurred if something is far away or straight and crisp if it's close up. That's pretty much it!!!
Mainly the elderly.
I went and saw the Banksy exhibition and it rocked my world. There was a quote: "Great art disturbs the comfortable and comforts the disturbed." I am comforted.

Details
Since painting is quite the endeavor and takes forever I think I'll ask for $20 an hour at first.
