About Jae
I specialize in abstract painting and sculpture and by transforming that energy to wearable art as well. With the accessories, there are never duplicates. With my visual at- you are always surprised and shifted.
I am passionate about messages and positivity even if it’s conveyed through a dark lens or frame of mind. I tend to work in series formats, slowing for a full story to be told.
I love to work with found items, paint without brushes, and create texture. I started painting to create safe spaces for myself when I was young. It was an escape as I often had to stay indoors due to chronic asthma. So I would draw on any surface that I could see my pencils! Once my parents realized I had a gift, the rest was history!
To date, I own and operate my own business in downtown Newark NJ and have shown my work in major shows throughout New York and New Jersey.
