About Amy
I offfr lessons in abstract acrylic painting. Acrylic pouring, resin overlay, resin pouring, acrylic liquid art, pallets knife painting, mixed media, large scale work, multiple surfaces, and planning commissions.
I find painting to have an intense impact on my moods, it is euphoric and ecstatic for me. Most paintings I create have a residual effect of satisfaction and elation, it is a life affirming process to be be continually creating something.
I started teaching this year at a local arts studio.
I studied Art and performance at the University level. I’ve studied with several working artists. I’ve taken workshops and studied many books. But most importantly I am an artist. I come from a family of artists.

I like to examine students on a case by case basis to understand their process and go from there. I don’t believe everyone learns the same so it’s a case by case basis for me.
I have mainly taught classes in abstract art but I am willing to explore portraits and figurative work as well.
