About Michael
Hello! I'm a mixed media/painting artist in Portland Oregon. I come from a drawing and printmaking background and out of necessity incorporated painting into my practice. My process is a combination of spontaneous and thoughtful layering of images and experiences. Abstract Expressionism, action painting, street art and random acts all combine for unseen and fascinating results. I will help you to let go and explore what truly makes you an unique artist. Not only in the studio but how art making reflects on other aspects of your life.
Through mentoring high school students associated with Open Studios.
BA in Fine Art, art history, sculpture, bronze casting, printmaking, painting, philosophy, and construction related work.
