About Rebecca
Good morning. My name is Rebecca Gordon. I have been teaching for 5 years now. I am a graduate of Spelman College with a BA in Early Childhood Education and I received my graduate degree at Michigan State University with my masters in Teaching and Curriculum. I like to be able to work out problems along with my students in real time as they can be learning with me. I also like to give multiple ways to figure out problems and provide easier steps if that is permissable as well.
I got started teaching being a counselor during the summers in high school and then becoming a teachers assistant in college. After spending 2 years in the classroom full time as an education major, I knew I wanted to be a teacher.
I have been teaching for 5 years working with children ages 3 years old to 10 years old.

I like to get to know the student and how they best learn. Ask them questions as to what their likes and maybe dislikes about the way their teachers teach can help me create a healthy learning environment.
Be ready to have some fun learning!

I usually charge $15 an hour if the student needs regular tutoring services. If it is test prep, I charge $25 for the session but that can include a study practice sheet for the child to do.
