About Van
I am a US Open finalist in doubles and #1 ranked Junior in the world winning Jr. Wimbledon , Jr. US Open, and Jr. Nat'l at Kalamazoo singles and doubles. I’ve been instructing tennis as a USPTR certified professional for over three decades teaching students all ages and levels ranging from beginner to advanced.

Each year I go back to the US Open as a member of the Final 8 club having dinner with past and present champions in the President’s Box. It’s a great occasion to catch up with my fellow competitors. The grounds have been renovated beautifully. Also, I enjoyed going to the new Miami Open event at Hard Rock Stadium which was located in the Miami Gardens area where I grew up as a child.
