About Matthew
Hello,
I am currently a 4th year college student studying Biochemistry at the University of Arizona. I have a wide range of knowlege over the subjects of math and science. I have been teaching/ tutoring students for about two years now and can honestly say that it is one of the most rewarding activities I partake in to this day.
I love teaching students about the world around them. It is especially rewarding when the student begins to notice the improvments they are making.
I was deeply inspiried by one of my college professors to begin to share the knoweldge I have acquired with the people around me.
I am currently a fourth year biochemistry student. I have worked as a college-level preceptor for math and science courses. I have also worked with high school level students.

I generally try to teach through the means of the scientific method. It not only allows the student to better understand the material that they are learning but also teaches them to think critically about problems in ways that our traditional education system does not.
I have worked with both high school and college level students.
I would reccommed meeting the tutor first and scheduling a trial session. The tutor should be someone that the student can look up to and admire. This makes the learning process much more engaging and drives the student to learn more from the tutor.
I was recently elected as the student representative for the College of Science at the University of Arizona.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
The student should ask him/herself if they are committed to learning and improving in the subject being tutored. If the student is not serious or determined, it is a waste of time and money.
