About Alexander
I first started teaching by teaching friends and family and quickly discovered that I love to teach music just about as much as I love to play it.
Over the past several years I have received extensive Piano training, most predominantly from the Musical Arts Conservatory. I have earned several awards and participated in several competitions. I have been rechognized with high honors by the National Piano Guild, and graduated from the Musical Arts PIano Conservatory with High Honors.

The approach varies significantly based on multiple factors, those being age and level of experience. For beginners, no matter the age the approach varies but the endgoal is the same.
For beginners the most important thing is to ease the student into the fundamentals of Piano, along with basic music theory. Learning the basics of how to read music, correct posture, how the keyboard is designed and functions, the mechanics of playing, and increasing independence in each of the hands.
It is important for a new student to be introduced to the fundamentals but not in a manner which is overwhelming. It cannot be a rushed process as it is what a student learns in the beginning that holds influence over them throughout their life of piano playing.
Core rule: DO NOT BUILD BAD HABITS
Most of my experience has been with beginners and I have taugh students of all ages.

Details
Standard price is $25 for an hour lesson or $13 for a half hour lesson.
There is also an extra $5 fee if I have to travel to your residence.
