About Theresa
13 years teaching experience in Antelope, California. Learn at your own pace. Ages 5-100!
I absolutely love teaching piano lessons. It has been a joy to get to know a variety of people, and to see the students progress on the piano. I am also a mother of 7 grown children and 16 grandchildren, so have had lots of experience working with children.
Requests from friends who knew I could play.
Have played for church congregational singing, and choirs for many years. Also played violin from age 10 to present. Participated with BYU Symphony for one year. Completed two music history classes at American River College.

I use Piano Adventures, by Nancy and Randall Faber, and Mr. Bass Clef Teaches Note Reading by Joyce Lundeen. We move methodically through the books, and the student receives a sticker or checkmark when he or she masters each piece. Special stickers, called Juilliard stickers are given when the student plays a piece perfectly within the first two tries at any given lesson.
All ages from age 5 to seniors in their 70's. I have worked with lots and lots of beginners, as well as those who have had previous experience.
We have an annual recital in which each student is encouraged to perform 3 pieces that they have learned during the school year. I also work up a new piece each year and perform it at the recital. Because I usually have around 40 students performing, we typically have 4 or 5 recital sessions in one day, so that each session accommodates 8-10 students. At the recital, awards are given for completing levels, perfect attendance, highest flashcard score, and highest number of Juilliard points. This event is the highlight of each school year.

Ms Gale has been my sons piano teacher for over 4 years. She is so patient and caring about her students. My son has learned not only how to read music but has established a passion for the piano and its all because of his experience with Ms Gale. I highly recommend her if you’re looking for a great piano teacher!!
As a mom of 3 boys, I really appropriate patience, as a mom of 7 herself Theresa has proved time and time again she's got what it takes to make the best out of the lesson time AND make the kids feel at ease - highly recommend!
She loves and is passionate about teaching. Theresa is the most patient instructor. She inspires and motivates her students. I'm impressed with every lesson and honored to be have her as my son's teacher. You can't get better than Theresa.
She's the best out there!Theresa is very patient and positive with children. She uses a token system to help motivate her students to practice. She is very structured and her students learn to read music rather than just memorize songs. We have been with her for 5 years and still going strong. She’s terrific!
She is an excellent teacher with her instructions and ability to pull the best out of her students. Highly recommended her!!
She is very patient and makes sure you understand completely what you need to do before you move to the next lesson.
She's super knowledgeable and great at what she does. She was able to teach my 5-year-old AND my 16-year-old kids in the best way for each of them and helping them both be so motivated! Very professional and the best music teacher my kids have ever had!
Theresa is a great teacher she explains lessons well and work with my daughter so she understand what needs to be done. I ll recommend this teacher if you really want your child to know how to play piano.
Mrs. Gail is very kind, gentle, sweet yet very professional. My daughter has been taking her class since 2013. I highly recommend her.
Theresa is a wonderful teacher. Two of my kids (ages 7 & 9) are taking lessons and enjoy it. They are looking forward to the spring recital already.
She is a resourceful and wonderful piano teacher. My son had piano lessons with Theresa 3 plus years.
