About Phyllis
I use a chalkboard to help the students understand the note structure. I share with them and then they share back with me. I also use flash cards and sometimes to help students understand I use the pie chart I have on the floor that is used for dancing (which I also teach - Davidic (Jewish) dance.) It helps the student understand easier how rhythm works.
I enjoy sharing my love for music with those that I teach. It is wonderful to teach someone who know little or nothing about music and share with them how to bring the piano to life.
