About Anne-Marie
Hi! I'm Anne-Marie, a Juilliard-trained multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and songwriter who loves to teach. I currently have students learning fiddle, voice, piano, musicianship, bass, guitar, ukulele, and concertina, and in all cases my focus is on helping students have fun while gaining skills which will help them express themselves musically in many settings. Along with weekly private lessons, I also offer classes for kids and adults where students get to explore their creativity through songwriting, playing by ear, improvising, music technology, and music theory.
My degrees include a Bachelor's of Music degree in Piano Performance from The Juilliard School, a Masters in Music and Music Education from Columbia University, and I am currently writing my dissertation for a Ph.D. in Music Education at Penn State.

I love helping students work towards their dreams and enjoy the journey. Every student is special to me, and I love getting to know they way their minds work and what works best for each one. My students include professional musicians, music teachers, young and old beginners, and intermediate and advanced students. Some love to play or sing classical music, others popular, folk, or jazz. I enjoy working with several students with special learning needs. I especially love to create games and learning tools to reach all of my students. Everyone is musical- if you want it, we can do this!
