About Paskinel
askinel Thomas Bio
Paskinel Thomas is a musician, songwriter, musical director and former Paraprofessional with the New York Board of Education school system who helps both adults and children to learn, appreciate and apply the science of music to their everyday lives. He is dedicated to the idea of lifelong learning and growing. Knowing that teaching and learning are ever in partnership he always look forward to not only teaching but learning from his students.
For over 20 years, Paskinel has been playing the piano, learning and sharing his knowledge with anyone who asks. He believes that a proper education is incomplete without an understanding of the world’s most universal language, music.
He also believes that anyone who professes to be a musician should also study the science of music. This is not to say that they are not true musicians, but rather to help them overcome the many limitations that can come from not understanding the building blocks (theory) of music. It is for this purpose Paskinel has established Why I Music. To teach and help erase the limitations that come from not knowing.
