About Marissa
Hello!! My name is Marissa, and I have been a musician for the last 17 years of my life, starting off with playing piano at the age of 8! I studied at Cleveland State for my BA in music and was able to study voice (opera, musical theatre, pop/rock), as well as continuing my training on the keys! I prefer playing romantic era music (Tchaikovsky, Debussy, etc), as well as playing jazz standards and pop standards. I am very passionate about all aspects of music, including theory + history. I am always looking to continue my education and knowledge by surrounding myself with other musicians and taking graduate classes at CSU in the music department. I have had experience teaching ages as young as 4-50s, any age is capable of learning an instrument! Everyone has musical abilities, they might just need the right teaching method delivered! If anyone has any questions, please feel free to reach out!
