First and foremost listening and understanding student's needs, taste and goals, then go step by step and explain and demonstrate in detail. Some students are naturally gifted or may have had lessons before, so we may even skip over some things if we can.
All ages, skills and backgrounds and each one of them is a joy to have around, even if it's online. I enjoy having different ages because you'll never hear the same conversation twice- they are all here because they enjoy their time too. How many people can say that on a daily basis? :)
When one finds a good teacher, hold on to them tight and be happy.
Our online piano recital. It was so much work, but so worth it seeing the appreciative messages from the parents and students.
