About Chanel
Hi there!
Looking to casually learn piano for fun and on a low budget? I’m your person!
I’ve been playing classical piano since my early childhood and throughout the years I’ve gained a solid foundation in music theory and piano performance. I’ve worked three years as piano teacher at a nonprofit organization where I taught young elementary and middle school children songs and music theory in group settings. I’ve also had experience teaching teens and adults in more one-on-one settings.
Currently, I’m a freshman attending Harvard University where I’m interested in concentrating in linguistics with a secondary in music.
What can I teach you?
- Beginner to pre-advanced music theory (including but not limited to: time signatures, rhythm, scales, chords and qualities of chords, notation, chord progressions, etc.)
- Reading sheet music
- Chords
- Beginner to intermediate classical music
- Rhythm and timing
Feel free to come with something you want to learn and I’ll let you know if I can teach it to you!
