About Lora
I believe anyone can play the piano! Of course, it takes practice and perseverance. I have seen preschoolers to adults accomplish musical goals in my piano studio.
Teaching others with a "You can play, too!" attitude has been my passion since incorporating music in children's ministry, my kindergarten and 1st grade classrooms and, now, private piano instruction.
I took piano lessons for ten years and was a church pianist for 9 years. I have been teaching piano lessons in the Wesley Chapel and Waxhaw, NC area for 3 years.
My background in elementary education helps me teach a variety of students with a wide range of personalities and abilities.

When looking for a piano teacher, look for someone who not only knows content but knows how to adapt and teach it to various levels of ability.
The "Picnic Piano Recital" we recently had outdoors with social distancing brought much joy to my piano students, families and me!

Lora does an amazing job finding interactive ways of teaching piano concepts. She is always prepared, professional, and engages the students for the entire lesson. I love how much my son has learned since taking lessons with Lora. Lora also hosts piano recitals that encourages students to learn their music pieces and helps them develop the skill of performing in front of a group. I highly recommend piano lessons with Lora!
