About Junwen
I value how I can help students develop their own ideas for musicality while helping them build up solid techniques.
I enjoy seeing progress of students as well as seeing them enjoying the work they put effort on the music they work on.
I earned my Bachelor degree in piano performance at Ithaca College; then Master of Music in piano at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Now I'm currently pursuing my doctoral degree at Penn State as a graduate teaching assistant.

I will begin with getting to know the background of the student first, asking if he/she ever received any piano/music instructions. Moreover, I will start teaching with a few basic information for students to know how to start with playing notes with articulations, and then moving on to further details of piano playing
I worked with students from age 6 to 17 during my undergraduate studies. Then I have been teaching group classes and private lessons to undergrate music and non-music Major students since my master studies.
