About Georga
i love art...making it and looking at it. i love the process and the history of it. I'm proud to be an artist and i love sharing what I know.
I've been teaching high school art for over 15 years and prior to that, about another 20 years though grant programs, after school programs and through the community and word of mouth. I've taught all ages from Korean preschoolers all the way up to senior citizens. I have a masters degree in art, some of my work is archived in the Spencer Museum of Art in Kansas City, Missouri, the New York City Public Library, and the San Bernadino Museum of Art. My work has been in several literary journals, and ive created several images for greeting cards and childrens stories. i belong to the 57 Underground Gallery in Pomona california.
i love all the different processes and watching the work come to life
people would come to me and ask if i'd give them lessons.
i have an AA from Mt. San Antonio College, a BA from the University of La Verne, and an MFA from the Academy of Art in San Francisco, ive studied with several artists in their studios. i attended Art Center in Pasadena for a while and I was an artist at Self Help Graphics for nearly 10 years. ive also attended several workshops through the years pertaining to art.

i start out easy to get them used to the different processes and build on that. i teach them not to be afraid of making mistakes.i do demonstrations and try to teach them to enjoy the process as well
everyone from Korean preschoolers to senior citizens. I've even taught in the the boys prison and later at the men's prison.

my students' success at an art show in Montclair. they won 2 1st place ribbons, 2 second place ribbons and seversl 3rd place ribbons. the competition was among the high schools in the pomona valley
