About Christi
Every child can learn and be successful, and I love helping them achieve that! I have 26 years experience as an educator, having taught 24 years in brick and mortar schools and 2 years in a virtual setting. I hold a bachelors and masters degree in early childhood and elementary education. I have also been a National Board Certified Teacher for 15 years.
I love seeing a child's face light up when they learn a new skill, master a concept, or experience academic success. Every small achievements must celebrated! I have worked with students in preschool through fifth grade, students with disabilities and gifted students. They all had something in common- learning potential! If they will believe it, they can achieve it!

I would ask for some basic information that is necessary to determine the current needs of the student. This would include information such as grade level, age, any grades repeated, subjects and skill strengths and weaknesses, and special needs or disabilities. I would ask what specifically the students is seeking assistance with, i.e., basic math facts, number operations, studying for a test, help with a specific assignment, etc. This information will give me an idea of how to prepare to best assist the student.
I have worked with students from a wide range of socio-economic and ability levels. I have worked with gifted students and also students with learning, behavioral, and physical disabilities.
