About Michelle

My name is Ms. Michelle, I have a degree in Teaching and graduated with honors in 2005. I have been an Elementary Teacher for over 13 years, and I love teaching. Maybe you had to learn online for a while because COVID 19 made school difficult to attend? Well let me tell you what, I was still doing lesson planning and teaching for my students, and we still had a lot of fun! As a matter of fact, I spent the next school year teaching online, and those students (and their parents) wanted me to stay with their child through the next year! So that tells me they had fun learning too. We did everything online. I was even able to make small reading groups and learning about letters and phonics more fun. But I can also help with any other subjects too. I can teach Math, Science, Social Studies, and Reading.

Our first meeting would be spent getting to know each other a little, and you telling me a little about yourself and what you like. I also need you to tell me what you want/need help with. A lesson would basically start with an introduction of the topic in a creative and fun way, and then I would continue with instruction that we would go through together. This will include time for you to practice some of the material as well on your own. We can make adjustments as needed too. I also welcome any resources you or your parents might supply. That may also help us get started.

My goal is to help you learn and grow, so you can be as successful as possible. I am patient, knowledgeable, student-friendly and easy to get a hold of. I have taught from Pre-K – 2nd Grade for the last few years, but I have also helped my own daughter with much of her school work over the years. (she graduated from High School) So please feel free to reach out to me with any questions you might have, and let’s get started today!
