About Heidi

It only takes 10-15 minutes a day! Parents can get reports and child sees progress! I am a home educator of 5 kids, 4 currently and the program I use escalated my own child's reading. Empoweredtoread.com is where you can find me and learn more! Reach out to me if your child hasn't reached a 5-6th grade reading level, doesn't matter the age.

I really love seeing a student feel good about their reading skills. I purposefully teach to illicit a positive experience so that they look forward to their reading lessons.

I have been teaching for over 20 years! Homeschooled my oldest through high school, he loves reading. I have 4 kids I am currently teaching and the youngest is learning to read now. I have been exposed to many reading programs and I am so impressed with this! I love that it only takes 10-15 minutes a day! Great Leaps is what I use and you can check them out at greatleaps.com.

I have a masters degree in education, home educated my own through high school and currently home educating 4 now. I've used different curriculums and programs and this one surprised me with my own daughter! Her reading improved right away and she is proud of herself!

About the lesson

Determine needs and goals, set up a schedule, get device ready! I am just getting started with students so until my spots are full I am giving discounts so reach out to me and lets see if we can get your child to love their reading!

I have worked with a variety of learners and some special needs. So this program is absolutely for all kinds of learners and I love a challenge. One needs a device to read on, which can be the same as video where I can see your student. They see me also and I give a code so that when we log in we see the same screen.

Reading is critical to all learning and impacts life in ways that opens the door to so much more. Age doesn't matter, if a student isn't reading 5-6th grade level then take the leap it is only 10-15 minutes a day!!

Art therapy! I volunteer helping an actual art therapist who works with victims of human trafficking and those suffering with addictions. Currently we did a group class and I felt so thrilled to hear a woman say, "This is the first thing I have made I have liked!" She was beaming!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What are your goals? If you could just 'order' from a menu exactly what you want what would it be? What are your expectations? What is your worst nightmare in a tutor that you would never want? Keeping it real!
