About David
* I'm here to serve you. To do so I draw on real-world experience as a magazine editor, so the skills I developed in that role are ones that help me teach others, including everything from spelling and grammar to writing, proofreading, and English usage.
* I also worked for years as a pastor, so I'm well-practiced at teaching individual students as well as groups of all ages, and can bring a friendly, personal touch to our study sessions.
* I've been involved with my wife in homeschooling all three of our children from kindergarten through high school, and that familiarity with various stages of educational development helps me connect with students wherever they are on their educational journey.
I enjoy helping students come to those magical "aha" moments when learning happens! The more practice they gain at working through a problem and coming to an understanding of how to solve it, the more confident they can become. They can develop skills that can help them live life well. To be a tutor and thus have a part in their success in this process is quite fulfilling.
