About Tyra
My name is Tyra. My background is in Social Work, with experience working in an educational setting as an Afterschool Program Teacher. I have experience working with different age groups ranging from 6 to 12. I enjoy learning new tasks and helping others. I believe in sharing one's knowledge to make a difference in others lives. I am passionate about teaching others to bring out the best within them. The moment I see others learn from my teachings, then I know my mission is complete!
I started teaching once I obtained my Bachelor's degree, and working with children within Summer Camps.
I have served in the capacity of an After School Program Teacher, and also academic tutor with an Organization. My students have ranged from 6 years old to 16 years of age.

I require students to submit previous and current assignments to show areas of where improvement is needed. Once submitted, then I can start working witn students to identify strengths and challenges.
I have worked with Elemntary students through High School students.
I would encourage a student to seek a passionate teacher who has worked with a variety of students who are on different academic levels.
I'm fond of seeing my students academic awards during a tutoring session!
