About Samantha
I am a NYC elementary school educator with 8 years of experience. I taught 2nd grade for 2 years, 1st grade for 2 years, and science for K-5 for 4 years. I hold a New York State professional certification in childhood education.
I graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a specialization in Math. I completed my first masters at Hunter College in Elementary Education with a specialization in S.T.E.M (science, technology, engineering, and math). I completed my second masters at Hunter College in Educational Leadership. I have experience in tutoring.
I enjoy helping students achieve things that they didn't think they could do. I enjoy seeing my students light up when they gain understanding and confidence in what they are doing. I enjoy the fact that I truly believe that what I am doing has a positive impact on the world.
Teaching children is my life's work. I look forward to helping you and your child achieve your goals!
At a young age I knew that I was going to be a teacher. I love working with children and supporting them academically, socially, and emotionally. When I went to undergrad, I immediately chose my major in Elementary Education.
