About Catherine
I received my Masters in Early Childhood Education and Early Child hood Special Education during the pandemic, 2021. I have worked as a para educator with special needs children, Autistic, Learning Disabled, Downs and preschool students as well. I have worked with as many as three students online
I am hands on and enjoy creating a learning environment tailored to the students need. I provide age and grade appropriate reading and writing exercises.
I also have games for vocabulary and sight words. I can work with students on number recognition and adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing up to 4th grade level.
I have access to Raz kids, Khan Academy and a host of other games and lesson plans. I like to work with the parent and provide worksheets or reading materials as needed. It is the parent who knows their child best.
I have been a para educator working 1 on 1 with students as well as small groups.
I am in the process of completing my Masters in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education.

I usually ask questions of both the student and the parent to get an idea of what it is that they would like help in. Then I schedule a time to meet on Zoom and we meet, I prepare a first lesson, usually with a simple test to see where they are at in their studies and what specifically I can provide for them.
We usually work straight through for about 1/2 hour. take a 5 minute break and then go another 1/2 hour.
