About John
John Di Fatta is a multi-instrumentalist and multi-disciplinary artist based in Rochester, NY. John graduated Magna Cum Laude from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Music in Saxophone Performance with a minor in Harp. He has been named winner of the 2020 Vanderbilt Concerto Competition, and a national finalist in the 2021 Music Teacher National Association (MTNA) Young Artist Competition, and has performed at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville, TN. He is currently attending the Eastman School of Music for a Master of Music in Saxophone Performance and Literature. During his time as a Vanderbilt student, John privately studied a new instrument every semester, giving him a unique understanding of the process of being a student, learning and teaching techniques, and exposure to a wide array of professional musicians and their guidance. Informed by a wide range of teaching styles, John takes a personal approach to each student based on their learning style and goals.
