About Alaa
Instructor Alaa El Idrissi is a 4th degree black belt in judo. He was the 2018 National Champion- who is on the World Ranking List, was previously a member of the Moroccan Judo team, was a member of the 2017 World Sambo team, won Morocaan Wrestling Nationals, and is a NAGA champion.
With national and international competitive success, he is also Nationally Certified as a judo coach, personal trainer and strength coach - so his workouts are often focused on improving motion, strength, stability, and optimal application of the moves. He coaches wrestling at a nearby middle and high school, with 10 years of prior coaching experience in Rhode Island and overseas.
His wife is a second degree black belt. She has been nationally ranked in judo for 10 years, was a collegiate all american wrestler, and was a member of the 2017 world sambo team. She aids with coaching and is focused on building a strong female team.
