About Michael
I teach songwriting, acoustic guitar and voice. It started by learning popular songs, note for note. After studied songwriting at Berklee and moved to Nashville, where I learned from some great writers. I can help you with lyrics, structure, theory, relevance, and surprise. Expertise in fingerpicking, chord voicings, voice training.
Learning what turns you on, what your strengths are, and sharing whatever tricks you don't know about. Encouraging progress. Watching the light bulb turn on when you get excited about something new. Not a cookie cutter approach, every soul is unique.
