About Laura
Hey there! I am Laura, 26 years old, I am a lifetime swimmer and have been teaching swimming to all ages for more than five years now in private and public swimming schools in my home country of Bolivia and for a short period of time in the US since I just moved to New Jersey a year ago.
What do i love most about teaching swiming?... the fact that it has taught me I can teach it all over the world in the universal language of caring!
I give nothing but the best when it comes to teaching how to enjoy and properly survive in the water :). Swimming lessons provided for all ages because it is never too early nor to late to start.
First of all, I love helping people achieve goals. I love teaching swimming in particular because I consider it a very important skill that needs to be developed, because it is the most complete sport, introduces a sense of awareness towards the water enviroment, develops both sides of the brain, builds up discipline and because it is so much fun! and last but not least, I love teaching and getting to know people of all backgrounds while working.
I have been a swimmer for 18 years and then got involved in the teaching and training to others process through my own swimming school. Victoria Swimming School (Cochabamba-Bolivia) gave me all the necessary training and constant support to make the instructor I am today.
I have worked with ages 3-12 and also teenagers and adults. I would say I LOVE working with kids but I also enjoy teaching "the grown ups" =).

There is so much that can be said about Laura and how she approaches swimming. I already knew how to "swim," however with my knee injury, I needed a way to get back into shape without causing too much strain. She was very patient, explaining to me in detail and persistence all the techniques (body movement, breathing, floating, etc) needed for me to succeed. Now I can proudly say that through her hard work and dedication, I am now at a point where I am back in shape and am looking to improve my technique even more. I would highly recommend her to anyone from beginners and above.
