Teaching for me means passing my passion for the water to my students . I can help you to understand how to use your body in the water to achieve all of your goals, in a enjoyable and effective lesson.
Using my hands to guide you in the pool, I will help you to learn to do less, to let go and enjoy the support of water instead of struggling against it. I am a very patient teacher. For me the most important thing is that you feel comfortable just being in the water and breathing freely. There is no hurry to learn strokes.
I like to visually teach and not make everything about writing loads on paper. I find this is more memorable but generally I would like to know how others learn effectively and mould the teaching around what suits a student .
Depending on your experience, I like to focus on technique and building endurance first, then working on increasing speed, individual stroke work, and starts and turns work.

My lessons are 30 minutes one to one in the water. I find being in the water to show demonstrations and to assist manually when learning are really beneficial to the swimmer. Everyone is unique and will learn at different speeds which is another benefit to one to one tuition. During a lesson we will cover aquatic and safety skills such as floating, rotation, water confidence and swimming strokes.
My training methods are structured and progressive, once at a competitive standard then training can be ramped up and be more intensive in the pool. There will always be an onside (or a before and after) warm up and cool down. Lessons can be taught at the side of the pool or in the pool for 1-1 training. Underwater camera use for stroke improvement.
My method to teaching is simple, go through each challenge at a time continuously supporting my client. Always demonstrating and being hands on in the water if you need a little more support. If my client starts to get frustrated with their self for whatever reason I attempt to make them realize that Rome wasn't built in one day! Take a breath, lets start it again.. slowly! Patients is key.

I am a very experienced Swimming Teacher and Coach as outlined by my CV and am very familiar with working on a 1:1 and 1:2 basis with pupils and fully endorse the benefits to the student (s) of working in this way; i.e. students learn at a faster rate and in a more personable way.
I approach each lesson on an individual basis. When I begin teaching a new class/swimmer, I use the first few sessions to asses and evaluate the swimmer. I will then Create a programme based on their individual needs.

I basically like to coach on an individual basis. Eventhough I'll be having a group of students, I like to give individual attention to each & everyone of them.
My teaching methodology is based on the age of the students and I also base my teaching on how well my students can swim.
My teaching methods account for all types of learner's. I follow a progressive structure throughout the lesson but constantly consider learners requirements are met. Children usually need a mix of fun and learning to achieve objectives. Adults enjoy an informal but more technical approach. If not instructed otherwise, i tend to focus the lesson on a different theme to the previous.
