About Kristina
I love to use my background in education combined with my previous competitive swimming experience to help swimmers achieve their goals!
I began teaching swim lessons at 15 years old because of my love for swimming. I continued teaching swim lessons through college and upon graduation stepped up to the next level of competitive coaching.
I have a degree in Early Childhood Education from Illinois State University. This background in education has enabled me to design my private lessons very similarly to a school lesson plan. Each lesson has a major focus point, with supplemental drills and sets to support the focus point.

A conversation will first be had on the primary goal of our private lessons or online session. If continuing with an in-person private lesson, an evaluation will be done to determine where to begin based on the goals of the swimmer. From there, different drills and endurance based swimming will be conducted based on the needs and level of each swimmer. If choosing the online coaching, I will provide a series of workouts based on skill and goals set by the swimmer. These workouts include explanations on drill work and technique.
I have worked with tots level swimmers (2-3 years) to adult swim classes. I have a lot of experience with competitive swimmers between the ages of 8-18.
