About Carrie
In high school, I tore my ACL playing basketball. What evolved was my love for fitness. Rigorous physical therapy began. I joined the swim team to build strength and endurance and the track team. My first year of college I swam. Jump ahead another year and I began CrossFit. It was there I learned the most about sports medicine and personal training. That love continues...in my final year of college, I discovered rowing and joined USF's club team. Currently, I coach rowing for a high school club team. I earned my Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting in 2015 from Sputh University. In 2016, I graduated from USF with a Bachelor's in Health Science. Since graduation, I've been rowing for Tampa Athletic Club. I am training to be at the Olympic Level. Currently, I am working at the YMCA as a Personal Trainer and Wellness Coach. I am YMCA Swim Lessons Instructor Certified, Lifeguard Certified with the Red Cross and YMCA. CPR/AED/First Aid/ Emergency Oxygen Certified, and YMCA Strength and Conditioning Instructor Certified.
