About Danny
Danny Alford offers trombone lessons to students of all ages and abilities via zoom. In person lessons will resume when we are able to again meet in person.
Mr. Alford received his Master of Music degree from Yale University's School of Music in 2020, studying under Scott Hartman. Previously he studied under Brad Kerns at the University of Kentucky where he graduated with a Music Education Degree in 2018.

I enjoy working with students and helping them achieve their goals on the trombone.
I have a Master in Music from Yale University's School of Music and a Music Education degree from the University of Kentucky. I have taught trombone lessons to high school and undergraduate students in the New Haven, CT and surrounding area for the past two years.

Prior to scheduling the first lesson with a new student, I will have a phone conversation with the student to understand their goals and their current level on the trombone.
Lessons will be focused on improving technique, musicality, and being in tempo, in tune, and in tone.
Focus during lessons can vary but will encompass warm-up routines, etudes, excerpts, sight-reading, solo preparation, and competition/ audition/All-State preparation.
