About Lara
Hi! My name is Lara Koot, I am an 18 year old trumpet teacher, and I looove playing music. I have been playing the trumpet for about 7 years, and I am still continuing to play! I love the color orange. I am originally from The Netherlands, but I moved to America in 2011. So that's pretty cool!
While I am teaching you, you will learn how to have correct embouchure, and how to read notes, and how to have the correct intonation. You will also learn how to tune your own instrument, and so much more!
I have gotten 1st and 2nd awards in solo auditions, I have also been 1st trumpet most of my career. What this means is that I was the top trumpet player in my class. I have gotten many solos in songs(such as jazz band, marching band, and symphonic band). My sophmore year of highschool my school also got 1st in state in marching band. We were very proud of that.
My service is as best as I can give it. I welcome all kinds of people. Young, old, etc! It's a lot of fun teaching someone something I love! I accept anyone who is my student, and I will try my best to teach you.

I usually start off with getting to know them a little bit, and seeing where they are at with learning the instrument. I usually ask simple questions about the instrument to see if they know the different parts of it, if not i'll teach them.
