About Kasey
Hey beautiful people!
I passionately share with my students a wide range of yoga offerings including asana (physical poses), pranayama (breathing techiques), meditation & visualization. My teaching style is simple, digestible, down to earth & effective. I maintain a childlike sense of exploration & humor to keep the practice light & fun, while still safely challenging & elevating my students. I LOVE teaching beginners & fresh newbies to yoga! My students have ranged from high school aged teenagers, all the way to elderly gentlemen who didn't think they could find relief from their chronic rheumatoid arthritis (he did after several classes!). Yoga truly is for everyone!!
I hold 400 hours of Yoga certification, having studied & trained extensively under 82 year old yoga master, Sri Dharma Mittra. I have studied Traditional Chinese medicine, the meridian energy channels & acupressure points, as well as classic yogic texts, yogic history, kriya (purification techniques) & mantra (yogic chanting). I'm also a Level One Reiki Energy healer. I incorporate all of this as it makes sense for each individual students' wants & needs from the practice.
Keeping things simple & having a true, genuine desire to help others through the powerful tenets of yoga are what make my teachings unique & accessible to all people. I want as many people as possible to have yoga in their lives in some way shape or form, no matter how it looks!
Yoga is something to be shared with ALL people. I deeply believe in the unending benefits & healing powers the yoga practice has to offer all human beings. I believe, because I've experienced it firsthand time & again, and have watched countless people from EVERY walk of life transform their own lives through the practice. Yoga knows no boundaries! Being able to share something so inherently powerful & life altering is a true honor.
I'm particularly passionate & honored to bring yoga into the lives of people who've never felt yoga was for them, never thought it could help, or have held some kind of fear or resistance to trying it out. Many yoga spaces today exist with an aire of exclusivity & inaccessibility that I wish to abolish. I provide a welcoming, safe, judgement-free space for all human beings to explore this potent self healing practice. This is what I enjoy most about the work I do.
