About Paloma
I am a dedicated scientist and visiting lecturer with a PhD in Molecular Biology and a strong passion for teaching. For the past four years, I have taught undergraduate and Master’s students at the University of Hertfordshire, helping them build confidence in biology, genetics, and microbiology. I enjoy making complex topics clear and approachable, and I take pride in supporting students at different stages of their academic journey. Teaching allows me to share my knowledge while inspiring curiosity and critical thinking in the next generation of scientists.

My lessons are student-centred and tailored to individual needs. I focus on explaining complex concepts in clear, accessible ways and encouraging active learning through examples, problem-solving, and discussion. A typical lesson lasts 45-60 minutes, depending on the student’s preference and goals. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Health Biology and a PhD in Molecular Biology, and I have four years of experience teaching undergraduate and Master’s students as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire. Lessons are suitable for A-level, undergraduate, or Master’s students in biology, molecular biology, genetics, microbiology, or related fields.
