About Gabrielle
I am a professional vocalist and vocal coach and I have gained many qualifications in Music Theatre over the years, including a First Class BA Honours at university. I regularly sing around the UK with various live Pop, funk and soul bands as well as teach students of all ages and abilities to sing and train their voices.

About the lesson

During the lessons, I look at a wide range of important aspects and techniques, including on focussing on a variety of genres (from musical theatre and pop, to jazz, soul and blues).
Focussing on a wide range of genres gives students the chance to broaden their skills and to determine what “suits” their own voice.
As well as this, singing lessons will also focus on looking at different vocal set-ups, posture, diction, breath control, the anatomy of the voice, facial expressions, body language, vocal health, basic music terminology/theory and so on.
Lessons will often begin with a thorough 10-15 minute vocal warm up — this is integral to prepare the voice before singing and is often where detailed vocal technique is learned and improved.
The remainder of the lesson will be focussed on learning one or two songs.
I also offer the option for students to take Musical Theatre LAMDA exams where they can achieve a grade on their progress.
My aim is to make a difference to students by teaching them a life-long skill and make students feel as though they are always learning and improving. As well as this, I feel it is important for students to have FUN and enjoy each and every lesson so that they have something to look forward to every week!
